Webmail FAQs

 

Access & Log-in Webmail

1. Open a web browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc…). Type in Centramedia website: www.centramedia.net and click Go or push Enter button on keyboard.



2. In the Features box, click "Centramail: Check your email here." Link. Or you may click on Centramail icon as shown above located under Quick Links. A new window will pop up



3. Or open web browser, type webmail.centramedia.net in the address bar. Click Go or push Enter button on keyboard.



4. Once there, enter your full email address and password. Example: YourUserId@centramedia.net is full email address. Your Password is what was chosen when account was set up.

5. Click Login button.



Compose: Creating & Sending Email

1. Click on the "New" button beside your email address.

2. Type the recipient's email address in the "To" box

3. Another option is to click on a Contact listed on the left and click "To" button

4. Type a short description of the message in the "Subject" box.

5. Click in the Message box to begin typing your message.

6. Use the Format buttons to change font type, font size, alignment, etc.

7. Click the "Send" button.




Delete Email

1. Click the email that you would like to delete.

2. Click "Delete/Undelete" button above email. The email will have lines drawn through them.

3. Click "Purge deleted" button. Email will be deleted from Webmail.




To delete more than one email at once.

1. Click the email that you would like to delete.

2. Hold down "Shift" key on keyboard.

3. Scroll down to the last email that you want to delete.

4. Release "Shift" key on keyboard.

5. Click "Delete/Undelete" button above emails. Emails will have lines drawn through them.

6. Click "Purge deleted" button. Emails will be deleted and removed from Webmail.

Quarantine Report

Quarantine is the area in which messages that are filtered by the Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam software of the Webmail server are stored. When a message is delivered to your Quarantine folder, a Report is generated to let you know that messages are being delivered to that folder. These Reports are sent to remind you to check the Quarantine folder in case legitimate messages are filtered there. You have the ability to set the frequency with which the reports are sent to you. You also have the option of releasing any message in your quarantine folder. Releasing a message delivers it to your Inbox folder. You may also delete any messages in your Quarantine folder. (Messages will automatically be deleted from Quarantine every 9 days.) (Below is a screenshot of what a Quarantine Report may look like.)




Release Email Message

To add sender to "Trusted Sender" list when email is in Quarantine:

4. Click email and click "Open" button.

5. Click "Trusted sender" button above email.

6. Click "Release" button above email. Email will be sent to inbox.




To add email addresses manually "Trusted Sender" list:

1. Click "Settings" button on top of screen.

2. Click "Email Filtering" button.

3. Click "Trusted Senders" button.

4. Click "Add" button.

5. 5. Type the email address in the box that says "Email" or the domain of the email address in the box that says "Domain". Email will just allow the one email address while Domain allows all emails with that same domain.

6. 6. Click "Add" button. Email address has been added to "Trusted Sender" list.




To release from Quarantine:

1. Click "Settings" button on top of screen.

2. Click "Options" buttons.




3. In the third section, where it says "Number of messages displayed per page:" box type in the number of emails that you would like to display. It can display 1-99 emails, but not more than 99.

4. Click "Save" Button.




5. Click "My Mail" button or "Quarantine" button to view emails. (Depending on the number you chose, you may have to scroll down to view all emails.)
